Welcome to
UtahGhostTowns.com

Ever since I was young, I have spent many a happy weekend visiting obscure, long-forgotten places, getting dirty and sun burnt, and having a great time in general.

I decided to build this ghost town sight so that I can post pictures and my impressions of the ghost towns and abandoned places that I visit in Utah. I usually only have time to locate and visit three or four new places a year so this site will probably be a work in progress for many years to come.

If you decide to visit a ghost town, please remember that many are on private property. Make sure you do not disturb any structures, relics or anything else. Future generations would like to see a real ghost town too. If you have to open a gate, make sure you close it.

If you are in a mining area, remember that mines are VERY VERY DANGEROUS PLACES! Some have vertical shafts that drop hundreds of feet without warning, most have rotted support timbers and are subject to collapse of tons of dirt and rocks on your head, methane and/or other poisonous gasses may be present. Snakes, bats, spiders and other creepy crawly things like to live in mines and their ventilation shafts and cracks and crevices, so please do not disturb them, or they may disturb you.
